Ill never forget waking up late as an 11 year old middle schooler and trying to comprehend what had actually went down(instead of making sure my hair was spiked properly like usual) while my step-mom did her best to keep us calm and getting ready for school while the buildings were smoking on television. Growing up in a family and town with such a rich military history was an amazing part of my life and the overwhelming local response of support and passion for our country was breathtaking, but it made it hard to see the other side of the issue after the fact. it wasnt until a few years later when a friend of mine gave me this album that i fully grasped the impact that day had on our society as a whole. its important to never forget what happened and have respect for the people who lost their lives on that day, but as Sage Francis put it in this song, Dont waive your rights with those flags.
