Ill never understand why someone wouldnt want to be an organ donor.. Why wouldnt you want to help someone in need after your time on earth has expired? Let me tell you a little story.. At three days old my cousin Sammy Scholl had her first heart transplant. Yes someones family was going through hell with the loss of a loved one, but they chose organ donation and saved my cousins life.. Without that this earth would have lost two people.. Her heart worked perfectly allowing her to be a child, until she was nine when she found out there was rejection, so then again she was put on the transplant this, and received a second chance at life. All because another person chose to help someone after their life came to an end... After recovering she again was allowed to be a kid... Her parents still had their little girl.. Then at 20-21 her heart was rejecting and she needed a third transplant, but this one would be more complicated because her kidneys were starting to shut down as well, but she got it! She got a third chance to make this world a better place, and thats what she is doing... So please, do some research and check that little box when you get your license renewed or if youre just getting your license... It really does make a difference... Theyre are so many myths about organ donation that scare people, well there in fact just a myth.. Or I can let you read my Senior paper, because it was on organ donors and why more people should become one!!!
