Ill take a hit on this, but I have no issue with Seinfields statement. He is not obligated to do anything for any body else when it comes to comedy. We have a taste, and his taste determines who he promotes. On the other hand, lets stop looking towards the gods to help us in our endeavors. Power is not given, its taken. I loved the Seinfeld show, but Im not expecting him to be more than what he is because of his success. Hes still a person who bares no impact on my life. Too many comedians like Dave Chappelle, Richard Pryor, Wanda Sykes, Margaret Cho, and others should not feel successful because they made the gods happy. There success came from pissing them off and other people loved it. Im not giving Jerry that much power to think his success controls the plight of minorities. He is made for a particular demographic, and that should not be based on him giving niggers a shot. The comedy I like speaks for itself. We need to give power to ourselves without looking towards the majority for their approval. Im looking at Issa Rae who has climbed to success from a youtube channel. She did the hard work of gaining the support of the people, not Jerry. Stop giving your power to people who dont care for you, show it by disregarding it. Im done talking about, Jerry. Let him say what he wants. Get back to the power, then Jerry can holler at me.
