Illich is running the Tigers like he does the Red Wings. Outrageous,long-term contracts where the players are only really productive for maybe half the contract. Look at the way the Wings are now. Datsyuk,Franzen,and Zetterberg are on the DL more than on the ice. Same is going to happen with Miggy. Hell be good for the first 4-5 seasons,then be a shell of what he once was and the Tigers will be stuck paying millions to a past-his-prime player. One other thing. I see all these Tigers fans talking about Miggy and his Triple Crown numbers and all his season successes,but go look at his Post Season and World Series stats. 194AB .273BA 12HR 37RBI 46SO. Thats his post season stats combined. His World Series stats are: 37AB .189BA 2HR 6RBI 11SO. Granted thats in only 2 WS,but they are crappy stats in crunch time for someone that is being labeled the best player in baseball today.
