When I was on a debate tournament trip for Butler U., our coach took us to a Szechuan Chinese place (in North Dakota-- and until then, Chinese food to me southside chop suey. The team was made up of Chicago, Indiana and Michigan people. Chicago and Michigan ate what was on the menu-- including my buddy Steve who insisted that those little red peppers couldnt possibly be that hot but found out different (ever watch beads of sweat actually emerge en masse on someones forehead?). But the two dudes from Kokomo? They had to have hamburgers.
