Ilona Bailey was out of town without me for multiple days this week. I told her I was going to work on an unrelated project all week and well, I LIED. Instead, I decided to redo our master bedroom...in four days. We liked the Gothic feel of the old room I had done when we originally moved in, but I also liked my blond, spikey hair at one time, too. Point being, it was time for a change. Ilona and I had been talking about design ideas, daydreaming about the time wed actually get around to doing it. With her out of town, it was the perfect chance to mess with her and give her a surprise. It worked. She cried...three times. I think Ive decided I want to host an HGTV-type show called, Just Fauxing With You, where I come in and redo a room while your spouse is out of town. Thats, uh, trademarked, so nobody steal it. Anyway, the first picture is the old room, the second is the new, then I included some photos of the furniture the original way, the second (gothic) finish, and the new finish. Big thanks, as always, to my Momma (and Dad) for helping. It would have never gotten done in time without you.
