Im John Havron. We lived at 226 So 56th Ave West in West Duluth right off of Raleigh Street. We moved there about 1960 I think. My dad is Jerry Havron. He was always working on neighbors cars in the garage after he got home from his job as a mechanic at Ryland Ford. My mom was Delores ( Dee ) Havron. She worked at the Raleigh Street bar as a waitress and also at the Gopher as a waitress and a bouncer where Dotti Lou, Gene Norrell and Toby Barrett played music on the weekends. I remember going to the Rec ( Recreation Center ) on Grand Ave, playing pool at Roscos and working at Unit Step right behind our house. I also remember my beautiful Italian girlfriend, Kathy Gannucci who now owns an Italian restaurant and store on Central Ave. My best buddies were David Rogers and Roger Higby. Wow, scanning this page just brings back so many memories. Thanks for sharing all of your memories. Some I can actually relate to.
