Im Seeking a Kitten to Adopt (friend till the end) - Im Definitely - TopicsExpress

Im Seeking a Kitten to Adopt (friend till the end) - Im Definitely a Good Home [sorry if this is off topic - Im looking to reach Oak Parkers] After a wonderful 15+ year life together yesterday (Mon 09/22) I had to have my little buddy Neo (beautiful maine coon cat) euthanized because he had been suffering from cancer (he was failing fast over the past two weeks and stopped eating, drinking, grooming himself, using the litter box [couldnt stand or walk in the end] (it was heartbreaking) - I ended up force feeding him food and fluids - cleaning up when he even had a speck of dirt on his coat - as he would himself when he was able) I spent a fortune on getting him diagnosed (x-rays, etc) and treated (prescription meds, etc) at the Oak Park Animal Hospital. I spent the last two weeks being his personal nurse maid (anything at all for him - including putting an end to his misery when he let me know it was time) Ive attached one of the first pics I took of Neo about 15 years ago. He was a rescue cat from the Chicago Humane Society (I thought I had rescued him but he really had rescued me - lol) __________________________________________________________ A Single Kitten Sought for Me to Adopt (please): Im 49 and live alone in a spacious apartment (with many windows facing trees and a beautiful garden area complete with birds hanging out - lol) near Austin and Washington in Oak Park (I love OP) Ive been at this location for over 3 years (born and a lifer in OP) Im an unemployed computer technician / IT professional and currently receiving government assistance (though I have no problems whatsoever caring for a kitty cat) Ive always had cats all through my life and they quickly become family for me (Im definitely a good home) If you have or know of someone who has a kitten available for me to adopt (for free) I would definitely be interested in meeting any new cute little friend that we can possibly enjoy the next 15+ years together ;-) Please message me back. My apartment is awfully quiet now and I could really use a cute cuddly feline friend to share some joy with again (smile) We (my cat and I) definitely have some great times to make happen. I spend most of my time at home (the cat will be well cared for, loved, petted and brushed frequently, and basically never have a want in the world) Im not at all picky with breeds, colors, length of hair, gender and the like - well know each other when we meet (wink) [its usually been a kind-of surprise love at first sight in the past] The new kitten will be spayed / neutered (if needed) and shots at my own expense though I will not ever have any cat declawed as I feel that is cruel. The kitty will be an indoor-kitty most of the time though we will eventually occasionally take a walk outside around the block (Neo used to follow me around the block every few weeks - good times. He (we) loved it) Im all set up with the necessary ideal cat accessories all already cleaned and sanitized (large corner litter box, toys galore, brushes (only the best), wet and dry cat food (stocked up), leash / harness, etc. (yes they will walk on a leash if taught early enough - after a year or so on the leash then he/she can walk free with me - when its time)) Thanks
