Im a 38 year old man who grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio who saw hiphop go through roughly 3 decades of change, for better or worse. But i ultimately see the 90s as hip-hops silver age. The 90s was the pinnacle of the genres sharpness and diversity, albeit more diverse in regards to styles than regionalism however. But it still was the decade that brought alot of other regional acts from places like the west coast, the Midwest, and the south and east coast. I have seen alot of 90s hip-hop lists thats pretty comprehensive so far, but they have some jarring omissions (or maybe some albums they might not have heard of). so my mission is to make a ultimate list of all the great DIVERSE rap albums that emerged out of this awesome decade.....from every sub genre, and every region. this guy is gonna make a list to end all 90s hip-hop lists...so sit back, relax and take notes...also theres no particular order. Also understand that im not gonna add any reggae, or R&B, albums as i think they need their own list. Exceptions being soundtracks and compilations. And as always your mileage may vary, i mean this is MY own opinion.
