Im a flexitarian by nature, with just about everything in life. I have a Ill try anything once attitude. So, it was no surprise to those closest to me when I said nonchalantly two years ago, that I was going to a spiritual Ashram in Bali and that I wouldnt be eating meat and that I would also be taking a vow of silence between 6am-12p. You should know that I love meat. Like heart, flowers, and rainbows kinda love meat. Learning to eat differently than what I was use to was challenging and I faced some serious frustration, but after the first three days I also found out that I could be extremely creative and whip some good for you vegetarian fare pretty quickly. If the thought of going completely vegetarian scares you, try being a part-time vegetarian. Stocking up with fruits, vegetables and whole grains, is easy with all that Fall has to offer.
