Im a grandparent.....and i tell my granddaughter straight up both the good and the bad!! No delusions, she cant get better if we hide the problems!! And i also tell her when she has done absolutely wonderful. She is learning that her work ethic and desire to improve is what is most important to her. You cant always count on a coach to recognize what you are doing as a player.....but you can count on yourself!!
