Im a little frustrated. Since January Ive gone through two different Upper GI Specialist, had 3 exploratory surgeries, 2 different swallow studies at two different hospitals, numerous test and a variety of medications, all while trying to figure out why food gets stuck in my esophagus resulting in me forcing myself to vomit the food up. Im guaranteed to vomit AT LEAST twice a day...every day. (I must say I can commit on a dime now)! Its caused major damage to my throat and esophagus, not to mention its taking its toll on my teeth now. The stomach acid has eaten my throat raw and Ive been told my esophagus looks like it belongs to either someone who suffers from sever bulimia or a 90 year old man whos smoked and drank heavy liquor his whole life. Theyve tried stretching my esophagus twice and done numerous biopsies. Ive had a cancer scare and was recently diagnosed with Barretts disease. But after my appointment today, they have basically thrown their hands in the air and given up. They see the damage its caused, but cant find the cause. Whats comical is..theyll probably find the cause while conducting my autopsy after Ive choked to death! Oh well, such is life....or death!!
