Im a massive sheep, so I did that thing that people are doing. Sorry, yall have to put up with my beerbelly for a few minutes. I have donated to Erowid rather than ALS, because its something Ive had faith in for a long, long time. I genuinely believe (and have done since first seeing it during my secondary school years) that erowid.org is the Talk to Frank equivalent that really needs to be shown to kids in school. Instead of misinformation and scare tactics, people need to be given the truth. Education is key, being taught to respect the power of substances and their associated problems and pitfalls is vital. Once the general public have a more informed understanding we can grow as a society to better understand substance abuse, learn how to utilise certain substances for personal exploration and therapy, and how better to empathise with and ultimately help those who develop damaging habits. Anyways, thanks Tim Walford for getting me to put a big pint of water over my head (shouldve got a bigger bucket). Oh, and because Im a twat, Im nominating Alex Clarke, Erica Steer and Penny Asquith.
