Im a member of a group of moms on here that support each other and pray for each others children. One of the moms posts scripture and a prayer for our kids everyday. Today I really related to it. I needed this reminder today about David. Its long but take the time to read it and if you have a child struggling with anything pray it over them today. I love the Psalms. I relate to David. He loved The Lord but his life was a mess. It comforts me to know that even though he was messy God still called him a man after His own heart. And like David, we have giants to slay, so lets slay them today with the help of God! The prayer is taken from Psalms 69:1-3,13,29-30 NIV Father God, we thank you today that you are a God we can trust with every detail of our life. Lord we cry out to you on behalf of our children. Lord, save our children, O God, for the waters have come up to their neck. Lord, they are sinking into the miry depths, where there is no foothold. Lord our children have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf them. Lord we are worn out calling for help. But Lord, we pray to you, and we ask that our children would pray to you in the time of your favor; in your great love! O God, answer our prayers with your pure salvation for our children. But as for our children who are afflicted and in pain may your salvation God, protect them. Lord I look forward to the day when my children will praise your name in song and glorify you with thanksgiving. And Lord, we will sing along with them! We pray this prayer of rescue and salvation for our children in Your Sons precious name, Amen.
