Im a ride or die person. When I promise to stand by a person, I do, in the good times and in hell. I love with my whole heart and do everything I can to make the people in my life happy and try to do what I can to make their journey easier. That sometimes makes me an easy target for selfish people, the opportunists, the narcissists, the ones who exploit others and take without giving back. I had a friend ask me today how its possible that I dont get angry and bitter as a result. Thats easy - God sits high but looks low. He restores everything that gets stolen from us -time and money and effort. We reap what we sow and taking the high road means we keep our integrity. No devil, no user, no narcissist, no selfish exploiter is going to get my peace or my integrity. God will restore whatever gets lost and He will make our ways straight. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Nothing that comes against us or is done to us is stronger than whatever He planted in us and destined us to be and become. He says He will defeat our enemies and we will see them no more. I dont have to get nasty or tell a persons dirty shameful secrets or otherwise get even. I just roll on like the blessed person I am and wave and smile. Dont get me wrong, it hurts my feelings. Nobody likes to be lied to or used but I refuse to let people who take without giving back, rob me of another second of this amazing beautiful life that God gave us. Forgive, process it, give it to God and trust Him to set it right and let it go. Then get excited about the next chapter and all the happy times that are coming.
