Im a server, obviously, but I have so many issues when my fiance and I go out to eat. We automatically get profiled by most servers because we are young and we usually get crappy service. The other night at Wild Wings for example, my fiance asked for a fresh coke because the server had been sitting over in the bar and she just instead topped his off with more coke so the melted ice blended in with the new coke. We never have our drinks refilled by the server, usually another server stops by and asks us what we are drinking (at any restaurant). When the server at wild wings was taking our order she randomly walked away to go hug someone that just walked in, while I was in mid-sentence telling her what I wanted. Even though we get crappy service we feel he need to go above and beyond on the tip so they will feel bad for thinking we wouldnt tip or something. But at wild wings our check was forty. I threw a ten dollar bill in the ketchup. Do any other servers have this problem of not getting good service and feeling offended but you are still obligated to tip because you do have bad days,1 as well?
