Im a sucker for historical speculation about prehistorical civilizations. It makes pre-literate times just much more interesting. Right now, I dont believe in anything like Atlantis, but considering all the destroyed/decayed libraries and lost technical traditions, i.e. the turning away of the whole Roman Empire from engineering knowledge in Late Antiquity, history has been probably much more interesting than we assume. (It is just maddening how many books and artifacts have been lost relatively recently, e.g. during the upheavals of the Protestant Reformation after 1517.) And, yes, I still read articles from non-mainstream advocates like Graham Hancock, e.g. grahamhancock/forum/HancockG9-Mystery-Lost-Civilization.php)
