Im about to set it off!! I hate when white liberals take quotes of Malcolm X and use them to argue Gay Rights, Womens Rights, Immigrants Rights. But dont address Civil Rights! Do they not understand that Brother Malcolms was a fighter for people of color. Do they not understand Brother Malcolm believe that our brothers needed to protect our women and that our women needed to act like strong women of color. Do they not understand that every time they do this, it just makes me think that they have no desire or concern with addressing issues affecting communities of color? That they are only liberal when it comes to women, gays, immigrants? That when they do this, after ignoring weeks of injustice against people of color, it makes me see them as just a group of white liberals that need to make themselves look good by posting quotes by Brother Malcolm, but using those quotes not as he intended, but as those white liberals want? So to any white liberal (or white person in general) before using quotes by Brother Malcolm, please make sure you understand what he was saying!! ~cyn~
