Im actually tearing up. This was an important and compassionate leader with an uncanny ability to speak to people where they were in a language they could understand. I didnt agree with him on everything--how could that ever be possible with anyone-but there was an inner light and sincere love for people which shined so bright when you saw him. I just started reading a book of his on Davening which Id been meaning to read for years. Like so many things, I wish Id done it sooner.
