Im all COKED up!! So the big controversy about the America the Beautiful commercial that hit television last Sunday made me think at least a little about what someone is chirping about as being UN-American . Today Im wearing Born shoes made I China, a pair of Van Heusen slacks made in Vietnam, an American Eagle t-shirt made in (thats right) Indonesia, Gander Mountain fleece made in China, Nautical Pea Coat from the Dominican Republic, Under Armour made in Nicaragua, and even right down to my Fruit of the Looms made in El Salvador I wonder what were my options other than nudity today. I was born in America Swedish, Dutch, Danish, German, French, and Polish. But Ill tell you what, Im100 percent sure Im American. I drive a Ford pick-up truck made in Detroit. Detroit, second highest Middle Eastern population in the World. Look around you people. You call that commercial UN American. I heard and saw beauty, grace and harmony. I am just the apposite of the opposition. How flattering to hear foreign people possibly wearing our clothes and singing about our Country in their language. Look beyond and see whats really out there with 20 - 20 vision. My American heart beats wherever I may roam, thats what its about. I invite you all to re-focus from time to time and watch a new perspective unfold. Instead of trying to tread in shallow water swim from Sea to shining Sea. Peace. America will always be beautiful.
