Im all for cool gadgets and technology. Ive always been one to want the biggest, coolest desktop computer, which I have, and a 28 inch smart computer monitor and a laptop with the largest screen 18 thank you. But thats because I develop things and do far more than read the news and check email and browse Facebook. Im a gamer and I build things but aside from that, I prefer to hold a book; a real book when Im actually reading ... a book. I have hundreds of books. I have a landline. I rarely text and when someone starts a lengthy convo with me via texting, I turn my phone off and walk away -- unless its my mother or daughter, then I pick up the phone and call them. When my phone rings, I usually always let it go to voicemail since I prefer to finish whatever Im doing at the time. It isnt that I dont care but I dont live life in any kind of a rush. I NEVER take my phone with me when I step out of the car. I get into my car and toss my phone into the glove compartment. The cell phone is with me for one reason only - to call AAA if I need to or any other emergency use. I dont use my phone to do anything on the internet. I dont check my email or Facebook from my phone. Outside of work, Im a complete and total recluse. I enjoy my own company. I am never bored. I do not get bored. Nobody needs to convince me to put my cell phone down. Its usually in its case in my drawer or car. If Im at a restaurant with someone looking at my phone, then know this: Aliens have invaded my body and have taken over my mind since outside of that, it just wouldnt happen.
