Im always surprised, when talking with my atheist friends, at how they react so negatively to my belief in God. I am referred to as ignorant, or primitive, or even uneducated, because I choose to believe that the universe itself speaks to an intelligent design. Of course, they use it in good humor, but really so many of them completely guffaw at my belief that existence is more than the sum of its parts. I know that people think that the theistically-minded are more closed off than those who arent, but my experiences are the opposite of that. I guess it comes from the basic assumption that those who choose not to engage in any particular belief system are, by nature, more open-minded. I think this is a false assumption, and one that should be challenged. So, if any of you godless heathens who are determined to spend an eternity burning for your sins would like to discuss how the very laws of thermodynamics point towards an outside force, let me know :-)
