Im back, sorry to leave you this week, but in the middle of very interesting, stressful and ultimately (though you might not see it yet) productive week. All week in Luton Crown Court in what was supposed to be the start of the criminal trial of a member of the Metropolitan Police. Excellent work carried out by Edmonds McMahon & Marshall private prosecution solicitors with intense legal arguments all week. I know roughly what the arguments centered on and ultimately the skirmish was lost, but the case continues....... REPORTING RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN PLACE IN RELATION TO THE DETAILS OF THE CONTENT OF THIS WEEKS LEGAL ARGUMENTS. ANYONE WHO WAS PRESENT PLEASE DO NOT REPEAT ANYTHING YOU HEARD IN PUBLIC OR ON FACEBOOK. My understanding is there will now be some form of delay to the case (again) pending further resolution of the issues argued over all this week. My learned view is ultimately its a positive thing, though Im sure they dont see it yet.
