Im blown away by the number of - well, idiots - who use the idea of delivering value as a reason NOT TO SELL. NO, just because you have great content and deliver more value than anyone else DOES NOT MEAN youll be successful. Who do you think delivers more value... 1) YOU, with your 500 leads, no traffic plan, no lead gen. strategy and no conversion strategy (but you have a killer blog!!!) or 2) MY CLIENTS, with THOUSANDS of people on their lists, generating 50 - 100 new leads PER WEEK (yes, via advertising and offers and lead capture... all those dirty words) all while constantly OVER-DELIVERING their BEST, MOST MAGIC stuff to their following again and again WHO do you think is really seen as more valuable by their network? Who do you think is really contributing more to the world? If you REALLY ARE THAT GOOD and you can only get 30 people to read your post or click your latest email, then SHAME ON YOU - youre cheating all of the people you should be helping. Furthermore... citing Tony Robbins as your reasoning for this stance is especially ironic, since the man makes more direct response marketing offers than anyone else I know. (And it doing so, delivers more value than almost anyone.) DONT BE AN IDIOT - in order to deliver value and really help people youre going to have to GET THEIR ATTENTION, FOLLOW-UP WITH THEM, and MAKE THEM AN OFFER THAT THEY WANT (you know, all of that sleazy marketing shit). *END RANT* (Dont be that guy.)
