Im celebrating my birthday next week with an abundance of live music. First up is Bombino, who is playing at Smiths Olde Bar on Wednesday night (April 30). If youve not seen him perform or listened to his music, you owe it to yourself to check him out. Bombino is a Taureg musician from Niger. Hes been compared to Jimi Hendrix, among others, but comparisons dont do justice to shows. Im buying tickets today - if anyone wants to join me let me know and Ill get a ticket for you.
