Im constantly analyzing streams of weather data coming into the ABC13 Weather Center, and if youre rooting on cooler temps, youll be happy to hear this news: Its looking even colder for the weekend. We are going to get side-swiped by a powerful cold front that could send a rare Halloween snow all the way into the Carolinas. Since were not taking a direct hit from the coldest this front has to offer (we wont even get any rain out of it), the question for us in Houston has always been how much of that cold air will filter in this weekend. Our computer models continue to trend colder and colder, so Im fairly confident Tim Heller ABC 13 Weather and I will adjust the forecast accordingly when we have our afternoon forecast discussion.
