Im curious, am I the only forager who has rejected the motored mower or the all American obsession of mowing the grass? Today, I just cut my front lawn with a pair of scissors. That way I could work around so many edibles and also things that the butterflies and bees like. It was a great feeling. And a neighbor walked by seeing me cutting the grass with scissors, and I do wonder what he thought lol. I have a fairly manicured looking front lawn now, and walked away with a nice amount of dandelion leaves for my dinner tonight. Even the bees continued to get their dinners from the flowers that I was cutting the grass around. They didnt have to move out of the way at all, since there was no threat to them. No horrible loud motors going from a lawn mower. And no gasoline dripping onto the ground.
