Im curious if anyone is calling private waste removal companies? This week in picking through everything we filled 1.5 recycling barrels and still required (3) 30 gallon trash bags and (1) 15 gallon trash bag, that I stood in- yes they ended up being quite a bit over the 15lb minimum- to stuff with filled regular trash bags. That will be pretty average for us. That calculates to $364/yr in new taxes. The private companies seem to be averaging around $250-260/yr. I would much rather support a local business that employs citizens and builds our economy and community than pay any more taxes to a city that I believe is not capable of being fiscally responsible and is specious in its dealings with the public.
