Im curious to see if there are any MMA fans that feel the same way - TopicsExpress

Im curious to see if there are any MMA fans that feel the same way as I do, this specifically refers to how I feel in regards to the UFC. • each show lasts around 3 hours, within those 3 hours we are lucky to see any more than 3-4 fights. Compared to a couple years ago where the same 3 hour slot saw us at least 6 fights or more! • Sponsorship is getting out of hand. Fair enough the fighters being sponsored, even as far as sppnsor names on the octagon floor. But the corner cam, stopclock and replays? Really? Theres so much sponsor name dropping throughout every show I feel this is partly the reason for there being less actual fights per show! • Fights dont feel as entertaining, especially the big hyped names. They earn so much money now they seem to want to just get paid instead of put on a show for the fans! I personally have found prelim fights much more rewarding recently! • Quantity over quality. There are so many shows per year now that I feel they are just cashing in on the brand, match ups are very stale. Remember the days of Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, etc? They for me were the highlight days of the UFC. Today there doesnt seem to be as much thought in match ups. These ard just some of my thoughts regarding the sport, and I hope im not alone. I may put this post on to some ufc pages to see if it gains any response
