Im curious whether other people have noticed this. Why is it that cynicism and negative ways of thinking tend to seem to be associated more with reality, maturity, and intelligence, yet the people who tend to try to think outside the box and not so negatively are deemed naive, simple, and/or unwise? This should be the other way around. As Albert Einstein said, imagination is more important than knowledge. The people who can still thread veins of color in this society of black and white are, in my mind, the truly mature, wise, and intelligent. The people who thrive on the comfort of logic and rationality arent being innovative, they are playing it safe. The true innovators and leaders are the ones who recognize that maturity and intelligence are not necessarily connected in a straight correlation. Made fun of for not seeing the world realistically? Good. That means youre doing it right. Keep going. We need you.
