Im dedicating this song from the Buffy musical episode to the memory of my good friend Shawn Carter, who left us far too soon the other day. We met as fans of the show(along with a number of wonderful people who will miss him greatly) and this was one of his favorite numbers from Once More, With Feeling. We even sang it together in a chat room once. Shawn was one of the most truly generous souls Ive ever known, with such a kind and giving spirit towards everyone he encountered and I know Im not alone in having tons of positive remembrances about him. He was a good friend as well as a a brother to both me and my sister,plus my mother considered him as one of her own children as well. People like Shawn are the reason that the rest of us manage to stay strong even in our darkest hour and I know that we will mourn and always smile when we think of him but also strive to overcome our loss to honor his presence in our lives. My sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones and without a doubt, he will rest in peace:
