Im dumbfounded that Im actively playing music again all of the freaking time. After a decades lay off Im kind of in shock. It all began with a call to find an opening act for a very large corporate gig in LA with Sammy Hager. Was given the option to find somebody local or do it yourself so Im doing it myself. Called individuals I know who who are local and national veterans of the biz. When I had my stupid stroke back in 2001 all of my playing ability went, lost, gone, out of the brain! Now, after the pressure to play 99% of my bass playing has returned just a matter of months. Damn, its about time. So, here it is, though the ink is not dry on the deal yet, it would appear, were opening for the Beach boys at the fair on October 6. Then another gig follows in Santa Monica with Joan Jett. And then a very legit spot on a tour with a household name who either took pity on us or liked what we do. So this great return of my brain has cost me a flaming fortune in equipment and instruments. Im having a lot of fun, Im taking it very seriously, but Im still just wondering, why now? Anyway when the local stuff is locked down I will let you know so you can come and throw garbage or casually observe or maybe even have a little fun.
