Im experimenting with providing ebooks in a way not involving Amazon. My latest novel, Welcome to Utica is now available as a read only Google document. As you know, ebooks sold on Amazon at 99 cents pay very little to the writer. I understand the reason for providing books at a promotional price. I also recognize there is a security risk sharing the book as a Google document, which Im willing to take. This isnt just about money either. I believe sharing Welcome to Utica through Google provides a more personal experience with readers.
