Im feeling particularly thankful this year so please bear with me while I post something longer than normal. IDW had an amazing 2013 and Im lucky to be able to own a business with my best friend, Robbie (who isnt on Facebook). And I get the pleasure of running a business where the people I work with make me look good every day. Ive never met a group of people who work harder or are more dedicated to producing the best books possible. Many of these folks have worked with me and Robbie for 10+ years and some of them joined us just this year. In no particular order (Facebook limits you to 10 friends per post). Some of the men and women of IDW who make coming to work so much fun: Greg L Goldstein, Chris Ryall, Lorelei Bunjes, Matthew Ruzicka, Dirk Wood, Scott Dunbier, Chris Mowry, Marci Hubbard David Ozer, Jeff Webber, Bobby Curnow, Tom Waltz, Denton Tipton, Mike Ford, Carlos Guzman, David Hedgecock,Alan Payne, Sarah Gaydos, Justin Eisinger, Kate Henning, Alonzo Simon, Cara Grieco, Gil Lazcano, Neil Uyetake, Tom Long, John Barber, Amauri Osorio, Shawn Lee, Rosalind Morehead, Nate Murray, Mariel Romero, Rebekah Cahalin, Chance Austin-Brecher, Kahlil Schweitzer, Angela Loggins, Delaney Marner, and Samantha Barlin. The best part of working at IDW is getting advance copies of our books every Thursday and seeing the amazing work of the hundreds of freelancers that publish their work with us. There are just too many to name but many of those creators are also friends. Ash, Joe & Gabe (I still cant believe Locke & Key is ending this year), Darwyn Cooke, Kevin Eastman, Steve Niles, Dean Mullaney, Walter Simonson, Sam Kieth, Menton, Craig Yoe, Jonathan Maberry, Conor & Anthony, John Layman, Mike Johnson, Alan Robert, and so many more. Three members of the extended IDW family who have helped build our business in ways that cant be overstated are Michael Kelly, Rick Jacobs, and Thomas Cho. And none of this would be worth doing if it wasnt for my actual family -- Brady & Pat Adams, Jenny Adams -- and my extended family -- Ed & Cindy Campos and Mark & Christian Beerman. And finally the two people who bring me happiness every day -- the most amazing son any dad could ever hope to have, Sam, and the woman of my dreams, Paula Beerman Ok, Im not sure how that turned into an acceptance speech. I guess its because there are a lot of people who I owe thanks. And I swear we havent opened a bottle of wine yet! (But now I think I will).
