Im finishing off Moon-buss custom camper and having a bit of trouble. I tried some glue that a workmate gave me to put carpet down on clean aluminium, it was shit. I used a Sika high strength contact adhesive on top of the crappy stuff and it worked like magic. I used the same product alone to do the next section with a thick coat on the aluminium only and it was now crap aswell, then I did another hit after peeling it up and coating everything liberally, its still shit! Sika make great products, what am I doing wrong and what will bond to aluminium? You are meant to coat both surfaces which I did do on the second go but although the bond would work, its not going to meet my standard.
