Im getting both excited AND nervous; only days away from the screening of my new film The Making of a Sellout right here in Madison, WI!!! I have never released a project like this before in my life, and in all honesty it makes me the most vulnerable I have every been (but Im excited to do new things outside my comfort zone)!!! Most recording artists tell you a story with their music; this documentary goes beyond that and paints a bigger picture of my personal and professional life that music cant. A few weeks back, I was on the phone with Shah Evans of GetYourBuzzUp, who was kind enough to have my Making of a Sellout Documentary reviewed on his site GetYourBuzzUp (read the review here: getyourbuzzup/2013/11/04/documentary-review-rip-the-making-of-a-sellout). It made me feel good to hear someone like him tell me how dope it was and that the teaser trailers dont even do the film justice. Either way, Im nervous AND excited for the screening on the 26th at Porta Bella Restaurant in Madison and look forward to seeing all my supporters there (and hopefully some new faces I havent met yet!!). Ive been going over the menu there, and we will have food catered which is included with admission ($10 for a screening of the film, free food , drink AND the first 50 people there get a FREE copy of the CD/DVD...how can u beat that value!!???).
