Im going to bed with a heavy heart tonight. Im so lost as to how within in a week there has be not 1 but 2 criminals let of the hook. 2 black men & their families are added to a very LOOOOOOOOONG list of men that will never get justice. I know i dont mention it often but I am very worried. Im worried for every man of color. whether hes innocent of not, his skin color makes him a target & its not right. I fear for my boyfriend, I fear for all my cousins, I fear the guys I grew up with. This utterly ridiculous, white cops are hiding behind a badge & taking the lives (or coming close to it) for no reason. I read a tweet by a young lady that said her grandmother was in tears. She marched so we wouldnt have to. aint that some mess? the same foolishness our grandparents & in many cases our parents protested against, were having to do the same thing. The only difference? were no longer have systematic segregation. Im so over this, Im tired of hearing on the news of a cops taking the lives of our black men and going home to their wives & kids. Im tired of our young men being viewed as a threat, called a thug etc. but when a white shots up a school or a movie theater hes simple a trouble teen on socially awkward, & he get s jail cell with 3 meals a day while our black women are burying their sons & husbands and then having the system say...yea he died at the hands of a cop yea all the evidence points to the fact that the cop killed him, but thats not really a crime so, have a good day This most definitely is a race issue. And these cops need to be held accountable for their actions! #blacklivesmatter #goodnight
