Im going to get a bit controversial, here. Im going to say that beneath the racism is a fear that the U.K.s native culture is being over-ridden, subsumed, & then changed into something they no longer recognize. Because, apparently, the old saying about doing as the Romans do only applies to Europeans & Americans, who are racist for trying to defend their native culture. To be fair: I think there are a lot of things about western culture that suck ass. But Im not really interested in using the power of the government to change the vast majority of those things. In particular, I will fight to the death to prevent religiously-based law from being the driving force of those changes, & in this context I couldnt care less if your driving religious force is Islam, Christianity, Judaism, or Pastafarianism. America is a SECULAR nation, which enjoys full-blown freedom of speech & the press, & that means that sometimes -- heck, a lot of times -- youre going to be offended by what someone else has written. Deal with it, get over it. Your offended feelings are nowhere near a sufficient reason to fundamentally alter American liberty. If you think otherwise, perhaps youre living in the wrong country.
