Im going to get smashed for this but here goes, reading a lot of replies to decent posts and questions, one has to wonder of the level of intelligence in this industry, is this the best there is??? For example Kane smith brings up a valid and serious safety issue with being able to communicate in English, have a look at the comments? Racist much or can some blokes not put their brain in gear???? Now in fairness the companies that employ these drivers have a duty of care to them, us and the motoring public, to be able to communicate on the highways of Australia is downright dangerous, overtaking, calling a wide one or even a warning not to overtake, this industry is not a game played on a computer. Can anyone show the standards required for non English speaking persons to gain an MC ticket? The reason these guys are brought in is OUR FAULT yes US, we undercut each other stab each other rip each other off and wonder why no one want to drive in Australia, WE US are keeping the wages down please wake up. Im joining the TWU I do not like unions but we have to make a stand there is 500000+ heavy trucks in Australia that is 500000 drivers that if in one group could make a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok I have my beating shirt on.....
