Im going to put something out that will probably get me a whole raft of comments. Concerning the Keystone pipeline, we have had a pipeline in Alaska for almost 40 years, and has shown its possible to operate one fairly safely. Therefore any problems with Keystone would be directly related to the greed of the companies involved and how much they cut corners. My main objection is we dont seem to have the whole truth. Ive seen comments to the effect that most of the jobs generated will be temporary, that the oil is mainly going overseas. I know that sooner or later we need to ween ourselves off oil. And as opposed to some, I consider nuclear a viable option as well as solar and wind. But all come with a cost. But who overall will benefit? A few millionaires and billionaires? Overall, I feel if it doesnt benefit the people along the route, and our country as a whole, it should be canned. Let the Canadian Oil interests build their own refineries and ship it out the ST.
