Im going to start calling my birthday My Favorite Foods Day! Todays lunch was my first visit to Uncle Desis Jamaican Grill . On a scale from 1-10 I would give this one a 10+. After 14 or so mission trips to Jamaica I love the Jamaican food and all I can say is after lunch at Uncle Desis I feel like I just took a trip to Mandeville, Jamaica!. I had the Jerk Chicken, Rice and Beans, and a side of cooked cabbage with corn and carrots. To that I added the fresh made Mango Punch...so good I had to get a second one to go. The only downside is you have to work your way around the bones(which is also truly Jamaican) but Ill say, its well worth the effort. Uncle Desis is only a little over a mile from the Wake Forest Campus. Yeah! I will be back.
