Im grateful for the 80 months (2100 days of being Away From Home) - TopicsExpress

Im grateful for the 80 months (2100 days of being Away From Home) of driving a truck but God has a different plan in mind. Its been his timing that got me in this industry & Im listening to his timing on the way out. To save the numerous questions as to why, Issue #1, I worked for my first company, promises were made & not kept so I went to company #2. Issue #2, I worked for company #2, wanted to buy a truck but didnt feel right. Final Issue #3, found the right company, love the company, respect the leaders, didnt question why they cancelled my carrier agreement b/c I made a mistake (a U-Turn), someone called in and well, this was the sign from God that my time is done. What I take away from this is... Ive traveled East & West on every Interstate Ive traveled North & South on every Interstate. Ive been to every state in the lower 48. I got to go to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Mount Rushmore, Statue of Liberty I even went to Hogden, ME and the load went to Laredo, TX (2500 miles one way,) I took a load from Baltimore, MD to Portland, OR (3200 miles one way) Ive hauled everything thats in your cabinets, under kitchen sink, under bathroom sink, car parts, truck parts, tires, toilet paper, paper towels, dry groceries, bottled water, rolls paper for making boxes, printer paper, Ive hauled for Coca Cola, Pepsico, Nestle/Ozarka/Zephyr Springs/Poland Springs/Deer Park aka Nestle Waters North America, Home Depot, Lowes, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, Sears, BJs Wholesale, Giant Foods, RockTenn, Disney, Mary Kay, Avon, Maybeline, Herbalife, Target, Macys, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Petco, Walmart, K-Mart, JC Penney, Ronco, CS Wholesale, CHEP/IFCO Pallet Services, Goodyear, Firestone, Michellin, Yokohama, Honda, Hyundai, GM, Ford, Chevrolet, Freightliner, Volvo, International, Peterbilt, BMW, Mercedes, & more. Ive been to several NASCAR races with Goodyear Tires. As a driver perk, I got to attend the races LIVE: Talladega, Bristol, Fort Worth, Daytona, Indianapolis & many others. Ive been to 17 Major League Ball Parks. Ive been to 4 NFL Stadiums. (Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Houston, Atlanta) Ive been to 2 Hockey Stadiums. (Boston, Pittsburgh) Ive been to 3 Basketball Arenas. (Boston, Chicago, New York) Ive seen countless Sunrises & Sunsets. Ive experienced Temperatures from -20°F to 130°F. Ive lived about 7 lives on the road. I dont regret one minute of it because it taught me about one thing that is instilled in me. EVERYTHING, & I MEAN EVERYTHING MOVES BY TRUCK DRIVERS TRUCK DRIVING is the hardest occupation outside the military. Its an occupation that truly does require PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS to do the work. If you dont do anything in life, do one thing, respect the truck driver thats delivering goods (groceries, water, clothing, essentials, etc. & services (fuel/oil, etc.). WITHOUT TRUCK DRIVERS, AMERICA STOPS IN 72 HOURS! This message is dedicated to all my trucker buddies Ive met over the years, Keep the left door closed, keep on trucking, Break 19 Break 19 This is Top Gun Signing off ONE LAST TIME! Glenn Nora II, rest in peace my brother (04/24/1981 - 04/29/2014), thank you for the times we had. I value your friendship because it was you who introduced me to this crazy life of being a trucker. Its time to hang up the keys on this chapter. Yours Truly, Beau Carlisle CB Handle: Top Gun
