Im grateful to Justin for bringing this up and to Eileen for sharing it. Hope we all listen and work together for ways to stand united. Agree, with note: Standing for conservation, we cannot be afraid to speak clearly and without hesitation. I admit to needing more restraint at times. When madmen speak of specific cruelties, I might respond with very non-productive comments having to do with apologies for the fears the person must suffer to become so cowardly and cruel …not bad so far, but of course, when provoked my bad mouth continues with…out of hand suggestions about taking off grannys panties, washing out the peanut butter, moving out of her garage, and taking charge of their own lives. Yes. I readily admit to some crass responses. The bad result of this is the alienation of those who listen to the exchange looking for info. Balance is hard to find in any circumstance. Agree: You cant compromise with threat of illegal bait and kill. They already do that, yes, and if standing for protection makes this happen more, the painful answer cannot be to drop the fight. We cannot allow madmen to take us hostage if we want to be effective. Shared fear: The extermination of wolves to the point that those who survive are not genetically diverse enough to rebuild a population. And if I was Canada, Id be damned before Id send any more of wild wolf cousins to help repopulate again. Fear of failing those who so desperately need us to succeed can sometimes cause us to compromise to the point that weve failed anyway. Sending out encouraging vibes to all who struggle to help defend those who cannot defend themselves. Yes. I intended to use the word: madmen. They are the ones that promote total extermination and unimaginable cruelty. There are others who disagree with conservation simply because they havent followed reliable facts. Those are the ones we need to sit down with for discussion.
