Im greatly disconcerted. Earlier this week a neighbor casually stated she intended to put poison out to kill peoples cats for getting in her flowerbed. Today another neighbor told me that various people on the street have also stated their intention to teach people a lesson by murdering their pets. NONE of these people have discussed the issue with their pet-owning neighbors or called Animal Control to intervene. There seems to be this twisted notion that you can kill other peoples animals on your property. It is a felony in the state of Arkansas to do that! Animal Cruelty is against the law. Threatening to kill a persons pet is Terroristic Threatening. That is also against the law. Civilized people do not behave in such a manner. Were better than that. It is my hope that people reading this will inform their neighbors that the price for killing a persons pet is going to jail. And the punishment should be far worse than what it is. Thanks.
