Im happy to report that Marilyn Gentry seems to be doing better tonight after a very restless Tuesday night. Shes in a great deal of pain, and the staff didnt get her pain med to her in a timely manner. The good thing, though, is that this pain isnt related to her heart attack. Were staying with her around the clock, and my sister is staying with her overnight so that I can get some rest and still continue to work at my job during the day. Jennifer Gentry Whitehorn, thank you. Ann is there during the day, and Im there in the evenings, so it all works out. The best news is that Mom is scheduled to be discharged tomorrow, and will be going to rehab for 21 days. We hope that the physical therapy there will get her back to the point where she can walk. As of now, shes very weak and very sore, so movement is very difficult. As always, we ask for your prayers and good thoughts. She has a difficult road ahead of her. Im counting my blessings--I still have my mother, and Im blessed beyond measure that I do.
