Im happy to report that we are safe & sound in Needles,CA. We were hoping to make it much further but after the day we had were grateful to be here. Let me start out by thanking everyone for their prayers. Im convinced its because of your prayers covering us that we are safe. The day started by discovering that we needed to have something fixed on the rental trailer. Waiting for the mechanic to bring & install the broken part put us about four hours behind schedule. When we got on the 210Fwy within minutes a truck right in front of Tim lost a huge piece of lumber,which made him swerve & I had to drive right over it. A big rig behind me almost lost control. I saw him going back & forth between two lanes until he finally got control of his truck again. Its a miracle nobody around him got hit. After our lovely lunch in Barstow Tim radioed us that we had to pull over at the next rest stop because he kept nodding off. I guess working on loading the truck all day Sunday & not being able to sleep that night made him exhausted.He slept for a while and after reassuring us that he was rested enough we continued with the agreement to go no further than Needles. As we were driving in the dark constantly talking to him via walkie-talkie making sure he was totally alert,which of course he was,otherwise we wouldnt have continued driving, a giant coyote dashed right in front of me and I ran over it. It scared Shelby & me and made us sad to have killed that animal. So my dear friends I say goodnight & thank you for taking the time to pray for us.
