Im having a MAJOR dilemma at the moment. I HAVE to get Kodi (21 years old) Hendra Vaccinated even though he has NEVER been vaccinated in the past. I have been told by MANY horse people NOT to do this vaccine as there are too many bad side effects for older horses and can cause some major health and well being issues with him long and short term. BUT if Mikayla wants to take him to PC or handle him we have been told he MUST be vaccinated regardless of the side effects. SO: Do I vaccinate and hope like hell these side effects wont hurt him or make him really sick OR do I just not let Mikayla go to PC on him or handle him?? All of our other horses are all Vaccinated but they are ALOT younger and healthier!! WHAT would YOU do if faced with the same situation?
