Im having a real problem this morning trying to stomach House - TopicsExpress

Im having a real problem this morning trying to stomach House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan budget proposal. Why do all of the budget cuts have to come from programs that help children, students, elderly, the needy and the poor in our country? If this proposal passes we will see great numbers of the needy and poor sink further down into poverty. Could we see another Great Depression? The possibility that this could happen is a real one. Just doesnt make sense to me. How about we make a budget that includes cutting all of the foreign aid, put higher taxes on companies that do business overseas ( these companies avoid higher taxing) by doing their business overseas, create a better taxing system for foreign imports and quit writing in tax credits for the wealthy instead of making the poor and middle class of our country shoulder the main burden? And these are just a few things that come to my mind this morning. Im sure many of you wont agree. But, its time that we concentrate on the people in our own country and rebuild America. Create jobs right here in our own country, encourage young people to seek a higher education (develop programs to help these young people be able to afford a quality education), invest in infastructure in our country ( lord knows some of our bridges, highways, levees and roadways are long over due for a repair and a upgrade), create a food system that benefits everyone ( make food affordable and create programs in every town in America that supports community gardens - agriculture) This is real Food Security! You see having access to healthy food choices is a important factor in not only helping those who are truly needy in our country it would benefit us all. Just my opinion. These are just a few things that i think would go a long way to help all of us. crooksandliars/2014/04/new-paul-ryan-budget-same-old-cut-medicare
