Im home, but tomorrow I leave again. This time, Im going up to St. Pete for the Novelists, Inc. conference. After that, I swear its back to writing. But I have to give a shout out -- well, a whisper-out, as the case may be. I did NOT regain my voice before the keynote on Sunday and one of my best friends in the world stepped up to the mic for me. Fighting her incredible dislike (understatement) for public speaking, fellow author and friend, Kristen Painter READ my speech (she was hilarious and might have added a few jokes) while I mimed and handed out goodies. I think we were a hit! Please thank her for me by going right to her author page (link in blue above) and hitting like. You will be happy you did -- especially if you like to laugh because Kristen is not only kind and generous and giving (though she wouldnt want that advertised), she is hysterical and AN INCREDIBLE WRITER.
