Im home crying my eyes. Have just lost one of my greatest and inseparable friends. He was my brother from another mother. Kyoyita Patrick has just suddenly passed, at 21! He was very much active on chat five hours ago and his last post reads Kingdom fm. He has just dropped dead. Just like that. Patrick was my mentor and a fierce friend. We had known each other for the last 6 years, and we had never had any hard word between us. He was a calm, composed and humorous friend who loved to smile. He was a walking encyclopedia of mathematics. He knew how to integrate, do sums and how to work out matrices. His love for mathematics took him places, won him countless friends and had him thousands of certificates of recognition. Patrick had a large large heart at the centre of his chest. Inspite of being celebrated all over Lubiri SS and being a class my senior, he was always and at all times more than willing to help me out with mathematics problems. He loved people. Patrick loved all races. Patrick made me fall in love with Sciences. I pegged him right from my senior three, and every day we spent together would be the greatest academic day of my life. My UCE excellence is entirely indebted to him. Patrick, just like I, strongly believed that life is a banquet. He was, among a number of many other things, a farmer, a teacher and a salesman. He believed that for ones life triumph today, one needs to equip oneself with a number of skills. And he was right. I guess its universal truth that the job market today demands for only versatile identities. He believed in happiness. He believed in one being happy. The happiness would always come in through his voice. And face. The world has lost one of the most recognisable voices in the academic sector, business world and the friends zone. My heart goes out to his family, relatives and all those who knew him. We thank the Almighty God for his time with us. To God be the glory. Rest In Peace Kyoyita Patrick.
